Location: 24 km east of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11.

Description of Operation: My wife and I operate an organic dairy and are expanding into organic beef production, an organic market garden complete with a CSA (Community Certified Agriculture) and run a retail store on the farm.  The farm store also features a teahouse where we serve lunch and cater special meals and events. Our organic farm is an exciting and diverse operation that is unique to the country community and a fun place to live and work.

Length of apprenticeship: 4 months, 6 months or 12 month apprenticeships.

Number of apprentices sought: 1-2

Areas of potential apprentice specialization: Looking for someone that can take a responsible role developing the vegetable market garden and willing to learn to work with cattle and milk the cows.

General work expectations: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.  Weekends off except for occasional weekend milking.  Some hours in Summer may be longer due to the harvesting that is required.

Minimum expectations: 18 years of age, drivers license, drivers abstract, criminal record check, and child welfare check.

Lodging: a furnished mobile home is available on the farm
